About us …
The tamburizza group TAMIKA from Bad Eisenkappel was founded in 1995. The group consists of twelve members—ten instrumentalists and two singers. Our repertoire mainly includes Dalmatian and Croatian popular songs, folk songs, as well as modern and classical compositions. We frequently collaborate with various vocal groups, soloists, and instrumentalists in the form of projects. Through these collaborations, we are able to create something new and connect the cultural diversity in Carinthia.
It is important to us to keep the tamburizza tradition alive in Bad Eisenkappel and Carinthia, as TAMIKA is one of only four remaining active tamburizza groups in Carinthia. Our enduring passion for tamburizza music is the reason for our continuous work—we have performed over 350 times in Austria, Slovenia, and Italy and have released 5 CDs.
